Enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and food themed by the four seasons. Mingle with friends and celebrate the new year of the trees. Learn and create your own environmentally conscious art led by Jaime Becker. Educate yourself on Eco-activism.

ATID Outdoors: Hike

ATID Outdoors: Griffith Park Trails
Sunday, February 5 ~ 12:00 pm

Join ATID for another fun hike. This time we will be hiking through the Griffith Observatory West Trail Loop. While we hike we will see some incredible views like the Hollywood sign and the LA Basin.

We will be meeting at the Fern Dell Nature Center: 233 Fern Dell Dr., LA, CA 90027. There is FREE street parking.

Following the hike, we will find a place nearby to watch the Super Bowl together.

The entire congregation is invited to celebrate Shabbat at this musical service led by Rabbi David Wolpe, Craig Taubman, and the FNL band. Friday Night Live has been emulated throughout the country but only Sinai has the real thing! Join ATID following services for the ATID Parlor (party for adults in their 20s and 30s)


Introducing Rabbi Jason Fruithandler to the Sinai Temple Family!

We are very excited to have Rabbi Jason Fruithandler, his wife Jessica Horwitz Fruithandler, and their daughter, Liba Shifra, join our Sinai Temple Family! Stop by and say "welcome."

Rabbi Jason FruithandlerRabbi Jason Fruithandler grew up in New York and is excited to get to the LA community. He feels very lucky to begin his rabbinic career at such a dynamic place as Sinai Temple. Previously, Rabbi Fruithandler worked with the Tze’irim (young professionals) group at Bnai Jeshurun in Manhattan. He is passionate about exploring the intersection of Judaism and everyday life. Rabbi Fruithandler is excited to help make the personal connections that make synagogue life so rich and vibrant. He hopes to get to know each ATID member and to be a resource to them as they navigate through their individual Jewish identities.


Sinai Temple wishes to welcome Jocelyn Orloff as the new director of ATID, our program for Young Professionals.

Jocelyn OrloffJocelyn joins the Sinai community after recently moving from Saint Louis where she began her work in the Jewish communal field as the Saint Louis director for BBYO, the world’s largest pluralistic Jewish youth movement. Jocelyn has recently completed her Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University, a Masters in Jewish Liberal Studies and a Certificate in Informal Jewish Education from Hebrew College. While Jocelyn’s roots are in New York City, she is thrilled and excited to bring her passion for the Jewish community and working with young professionals to Sinai’s ATID program.
